We would rather give you things you can check than adjectives you can't. Some of what follows is a matter of public record; the rest is visible in our own project photographs, or is a commitment we are putting in writing. None of it is a badge we bought.

Every photograph is our own work
No stock imagery of somebody else's houses and no borrowed portfolio. If it is on this site, we built it.

We tell you what a building will actually take
A site visit that ends in an honest answer — including "that isn't a job for us" or "that will need consent" — is worth more to you than an eager quote. We give the straight version at the first visit, before anyone has spent anything.
Commitment. The site visit and the advice are free and carry no obligation.
A programme, not just a start date
You get the sequence, the long-lead items, the inspection points and the dates by which you need to have chosen things — produced before work starts, not improvised as it goes.
Our published service includes engaging early and producing a realistic programme with full project management.
Old stone is repaired, not replaced
On a restoration we keep the stone that is standing, rebuild what is lost to the existing coursing, and repoint in an appropriate mortar. Replacing a whole elevation is easier for us and worse for the building.

The outside is part of the job
Terraces and paving laid to fall away from the building, steps and retaining walls built in matching stone, gravel properly edged, and the site left clean.
Hard landscaping is part of our published stonework service, and is visible in the terrace, steps and flagged patios in our project photographs.

Nothing on these pages is stock imagery of somebody else's build. The gallery is our own completed projects — stone restorations, barn and roof conversions, kitchen extensions and new houses — photographed on site.
Old and new, by the same hands
Traditional stonework and contemporary construction are both core to what we do, which is why a derelict cottage shell and a full-glazing new build can sit side by side in the same portfolio.
Design and project management included
We can engage early, work with your architect and engineer, produce a realistic programme and manage the trades — so you are not the one chasing the build.
We work alongside your own architect, structural engineer and chosen suppliers where a project already has them — and can bring in the design input where it doesn't.
